Chimney Inspections & Sweeps
Regular chimney inspections and cleanings help prevent dangerous creosote buildup, reduce fire risk, and keep your fireplace working safely and efficiently.
For liability reasons, Ye Olde Chimney Sweepe always completes a full inspection for new customers. If no deficiencies are found, a sweep can be completed during the same appointment.
The National Fire Protection Association requires that all home buyers and sellers have a complete fireplace and chimney inspection prior to the finalization of a sale. Additionally, homeowners are recommended to have an inspection conducted following a chimney fire, lightning strike, chimney damage caused by trees, water entry, or a change in fuel type.
